There’s nothing worse than being stuck in uncomfortable shoes while at work. While those heels might have felt fine this morning, they can quickly become painful throughout the day, especially if you are constantly walking rather than sitting at a desk. While you might think that good-looking and professional shoes have to be uncomfortable, that is no longer the case!
Gone are the days when the only shoe option for working women are high-heeled closed-toed pumps. In fact, there are so many different options out there when it comes to style and functionality that are also comfortable as well! So here are the five most comfortable work shoes for women:
1. Kitten Heels
If pumps or stilettos aren’t a good fit for your feet and often leave you with blisters or sore arches, you might think that you are doomed to flats for the rest of your life. But there is a more practical heel option that can give you a little bit of height and dress up your look without killing your feet – kitten heels. Kitten heels give you a little bit of a boost while not straining your feet too much. If you struggle with the skinny heels often found on pumps, then you might want to consider going with a shorter block heel to give you more support. Your feet will thank you letter for lowering the height of your heels!
2. Ballet Flats
If you are on-board with the idea of totally ditching heels while at work – you aren’t alone. So many women have become huge fans of ballet flats for work because they are simple and comfortable. Depending on the formality of your office, you could go with a fancier leather flat that looks great with slacks or you could go with a simple cloth option if your office environment is a little more casual. Flats are a great option if you walk a lot at work or have to commute to the office since you can walk miles in the right pair. That way, you can ditch the “commuter shoes” and just wear the same pair of amazing shoes all day!
3. Penny Loafers
Penny loafers are a really underrated comfortable work shoe option for women. However, they have recently become more popular and we can see why! They help you maintain a clean and professional look while not hurting your feet for the sake of style. Wearing a nice pair of leather penny loafers with slacks can give you a chic professional vibe that will definitely leave a good impression on clients.
4. Oxford’s
Another underrated comfortable work shoe option for women is a nice pair of Oxford’s. While you might think that women can’t rock Oxford’s – that’s not the case! Oxford shoes show that you mean business and can really spice up your look. And just because they are usually associated with men doesn’t mean that they have to be overly masculine. There are tons of professional yet feminine Oxford shoes out there fit for a boss babe!
5. Booties
You might have not considered wearing boots to work before, but the right pair of booties can pair great with your outfit and not leave you dealing with blisters on your feet all day. Booties are a particularly great option if the weather is cold and you don’t want to leave any skin exposed. Plus, there’s tons of versatility with booties that gives you the option to wear them after work as well! Between all the different styles and materials of boots out there, you are bound to find an option that works well for you, your office, your style, and your comfort!
