What type of meat promotes a healthy heart?

Number of people with heart problems are increasing worldwide. The sedentary lifestyle and bad eating habits are two important reasons for this increase. Processed meat: This includes bacon, hot dogs, sausages and deli meats. In comparison to fresh meat, the processed meat contains preservatives, and slightly more fat and calories. They are known to have a higher risk of developing a heart disease and diabetes in comparison to people who avoid processed meats.

Fish and seafood. Fatty fish like salmon and tuna are rich in omega-3 fatty acids and are known to be very good for heart. These have beneficial effects on the heart and cardiovascular system. Fish also has less cholesterol and saturated fats, and therefore can be included in the diet for patient with heart disease. The American Heart Association recommends a person to have at least two servings of fish a week. Other types of seafood are also a good source of protein and are mostly low in fat. 

It is important to take care what you eat and balance your meal to have a healthy-heart diet. Not only food, but having an active life is also important. Regular exercise help keep the heart muscles healthy and lower the risk of heart problems. 

You can include more vegetables and fruits to keep yourself healthy. Also, nuts and seeds along with dried fruits can be takes as healthy snacks. Lean meat is now available in most markets, but still watching the amount and frequency of red meat in your diet is important.
