For many people, pharmaceutical pills can eat away at the lining of their stomachs if they take it for too long. It can also become a serious addiction which just adds on to their problems. It’s no surprise that many people are seeking natural ways to provide them relief for their pain.

For many of those people, their search has ended. CBD for pain is the answer for many people who have been searching for that natural relief.

Endocannabinoid System

Since the dawn of human history cannabis has been used as a medicinal healing agent. As opiates became more widespread cannabis lost its place in medicinal usage. In our modern history scientists have now been able to isolate cannabinoids from cannabis plants. Scientists have found that the THC and CBD compounds isolated from the cannabis plant are known to have the molecular capability to connect with receptors housed in the body.

By connecting the CB1and CB2 receptors cannabinoids a time as chemical messengers. In 1992 it was discovered that the human body produces its own natural cannabinoids receptor known as anandamide. Subsequently, another molecule was discovered also in our organism which was called to a 2AG. It was discovered that anandamide forms part of a wider system of intercellular communication throughout our bodies.

This system is now known as the endocannabinoid system. This system is very closely related to our own bodies’ self-regulated processes. These processes are known as control temperature throughout the body as well as its pH levels.

There are other aspects in which this system controls body self-regulation including neuroprotection, motor coordination, pain control, and appetite among many other functions.

The endocannabinoid system helps with this very complex way of regulating the body’s specific functions. This process Is known as homeostasis. So when a person takes a CBD tincture the CBD is absorbed by the body and distributed through the endocannabinoid system.

It activates the CB1 and CB2 receptors to receive the neurotransmitters which regulate pain. This is how Cbd works throughout the body.

Safer than Pharmaceutical Opioids

In 2014 19,000 Americans died from an overdose of opioid painkillers. That’s a bigger number than the number of homicides in the same year. There is no known fatal overdose of cannabidiol ever! Traditional painkillers have also been known to create addictions.

In 2006 approximately 3.1 million people in the United States from the age of 12 to 25 said that they used over-the-counter cough and cold medicine to get high for nonmedical reasons. On the other hand, Cbd is actually being used to treat addiction to alcohol opioids and tobacco.

Although we are still in the early stages of knowing how CBD oil works and relieving pain it is showing promise in relieving pain naturally without creating addictions which sometimes lead to deaths.

The CBD products not only come in tinctures, vaping devices, or edibles but they also come in topical form. These topical forms may be applied to affected areas of pain. It’s an easy to use product which does not smell bad.

Lots of those topical pain relief appointments have a smell that can bother people. CBD topicals are neutral in odor and provide great relief to its patients.

If a person’s stomach is compromised by taking the CBD orally the topical use provides a better solution to managing their pain. Either way, there is a viable option for everyone.
